Clothes Swap and ECO Fashion Day Saturday March 10th 2012
Sustainable Crediton is having an Eco Fashion and Clothes Swap Day on Saturday 10th March 2012 at the Boniface Centre in Crediton 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. £2.50 on the door.
All are welcome to come along.
The idea is to bring along unwanted clothes and accessories and swop them for something that someone else brings in.
Items for the clothes swap should be brought in between 10 and 11 and the swapping begins at 1200. You get a ticket for each of your items and you can have a free item for each ticket. If you want more things there will be a small charge of £1 per item.
There will also be free demonstrations and advice on how to carry out simple clothing repairs such as sewing on buttons and taking up hems. Ann Turner, an experienced professional curtain maker, will be demonstrating how to update and renovate curtains and the local knitting and spinning groups are coming along too. If you have ever wanted to learn how to knit a simple garment or spin your own wool this is an ideal opportunity to find out and have a go under their guidance! . Anyone can take part. You do not need sewing experience.
Drinks, light lunches and cakes will be available.
