Bookshop Launch and Wood from Hedges Event

Hello Everyone,

Two unusual events happening in Crediton over the next ten days.

On the 17th November, this Saturday, from 4 to 8pm at the Boniface Centre, the Community Bookshop launches its share offer. You don't have to buy your shares on the night - the share offer will remain open for three months.  You can simply pick up a share offer document, talk to the Directors of the new company and committee members, and contribute your thoughts. At the same time hear from prominent local writers, discover what transforming The Crediton Bookshop into the Crediton Community Bookshop will mean, and enjoy a drink.  Be part of it by telling us what you'd like to see, and by getting involved.

On the Saturday, 24th November, our Energy Group is holding a wood fuel from hedges demonstration event. This will be of interest to people who burn wood for heating their home, for farmers wishing to learn how to manage their hedgerows for wood and nature, for people wanting some winter fresh air and exercise as part of a wood group and for people wanting to learn new skills such as hedge laying. Sustainable Crediton are looking for a group of people who enjoy the great outdoors and would like to be involved in managing some hedgerows in a traditional manner in return for a share of the free fuel created. The event is open to all and is free of charge. It starts at 10am on 24th November at the Crown & Sceptre pub, Newton St Cyres. There are now less than 10 spaces left, so booking is essential by contacting info@sustainablecrediton.org.uk
