Sustainable Crediton newsletter issue 129, October 2021

Welcome All, and especially to around 40 new subscribers to our newsletter who signed up at the Green Fair in the Square and our relaunch / AGM event. We felt both days were a success and well worth the effort of staging.

Our next big event is on Thursday 28th October when we welcome Professor Peter Stott of the Met Office and Exeter University, who will be presenting his newly published book about the battle of the scientific community against climate change denial. This is of obvious importance in the run up to COP26.

Peter Stott is of international standing in his field and we are extremely lucky to have him appearing here. Further details below, in the body of this newsletter. Please put this date in your diary and book your tickets now! The event is free for full time students: we would love to have young people well represented at this event: it is after all about their future.

Please share this widely and help us ensure really good support for this event.

A reminder especially for new supporters, do join our Facebook group to keep abreast of what is happening, and to have your say.

Best wishes,

John Craythorne, for Sustainable Crediton Core Group
