Review of Crediton Climate Action AGM

 to

Old Town Hall, High St, Crediton, EX17 3LF GoogleMap

The Steering Group for the next year was elected as follows:

Gerald Conyngham Chair, Charles Mossman Vice Chair, Anne Tucker Secretary, Sue Chantrey Treasurer, Simon McEwan Press Officer, Alan Murray Publicity, Paula Mossman Membership & Communications, John Downes Town Council Rep, general members Jessie Watson Brown, Rebecca Megson, Phil Thomas, Dee Ross, Anita Munson.

Linda Lever stood down from the Steering Group to concentrate on Food and Farming issues and all those present thanked Linda for her vision in starting CCA in Jan 2007 and for her hard work as a member of the Steering Group ever since.

Sue Chantrey presented the accounts for the past year. They showed that despite the many events CCA has held during 2008 the bank balance is still in the black. Grants have been applied for in 2009 from the Town Council and
the Small Green Steps initiative to help fund further CCA development plans for the year ahead.

After coffee and biscuits the group had an Open Forum on the future of CCA and addressed questions such as how we can make the group and its message more appealing to the public as a whole, and whether we should consider
a name change. Using the ideas that arose, both these issues will be explored further by the Steering Group over the next few months.

If you have any questions for the Steering Group or comments about CCA's future contact us so they can be raised at the next Steering meeting.

Everyone's opinions are important so we welcome all your views and suggestions.
