Publicity/PR person for Sustainable Crediton

About the opportunity
Sustainable Crediton is seeking a volunteer with experience in communications, public
relations, marketing and/or fundraising to assist the Core Group and other Groups with projects and initiatives.

We aim to bring people of all ages, skills, backgrounds and interests together to work for a positive future. Our focus is to help our community become truly self-supporting and resilient, supporting individual initiatives and aiming for a more local economy to build a more sustainable future.

A growing network of people in Crediton and the wider local area, our groups work on transport, waste, food, and energy issues, and much more.

Who are we looking for?
Someone with good written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, the ability to organise and work independently. You'll be friendly, flexible and be prepared to offer new ideas and carry them out.

Tasks may include:
• Writing and editing communications materials including material for our website and press releases, and using social media
• Developing new communication strategies, particularly to attract more volunteers for our groups
• General support of all activities Sustainable Crediton, including special events

Practical Considerations
Working from home (we have no office base), you will work closely with members of the Core and other Groups, be prepared to implement others' ideas, and also to act on your own.
