We say good bye to a veteran of the environmental scene in
Crediton and Sandford this month. Linda and Colin Lever are moving
to St Lucia in the West Indies to be near their daughter
Elaine and her family.
Linda was responsible for setting up Crediton Climate Action (as
it was then called) in 2007 along with 4 others. She was a key
member of the energy group within Sustainable Crediton which
encouraged up to 100 houses to install solar panels, also in the
area of local food production including a local food market which
ran very succesfully in the town square for a number of years.
Within Sandford she was involved in many community initiatives
including Sandford stores, the Millenium Green and the
footpath/cycle path from Sandford to Crediton. We are
grateful for all she contributed in the field of
sustainability.
We shall miss her and Colin and wish them all the best for their
new life in St Lucia.
