If anyone is interested in the local plan there is an exhibition at the Crediton Boniface Centre Wednesday 25th January 12:00 - 15:00

The Local Plan Review will guide development in the district over the next 20 years and is reaching the final stages in its preparation and development. It aims to make sure that new homes, jobs and services required by communities are located in the most sustainable places. It will also help deliver the infrastructure, facilities and other developments needed to make this possible.

How to get involved

Consultation on the new Local Plan Review Proposed Submission (incorporating proposed modifications) takes place from 3 January - 14 February 2017. Please note that the consultation invites comments on proposed modifications only, and not the wider unchanged content of the Local Plan Review.

You can speak to a representative of Mid Devon District Council at public exhibitions, which are being held as follows:

Representations on the Local Plan Review Proposed Submission (incorporating proposed modifications), its associated Sustainability Appraisal addendum or any other revised proposed submission documents can be submitted in the following ways:

When making a representation you must include your name and full postal address, otherwise your comments cannot be registered. Addresses will only be used to inform people about the new plan and other planning matters.

Representations may request the opportunity to appear before and be heard by the person carrying out the examination. Representations may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specific address of any of the following:

  1. The submission of the Local Plan Review for independent examination under section 20 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (the Act),

  2. The publication of the recommendations of the person appointed to carry out an independent examination of the Local Plan Review under section 20 of the Act, and

  3. The adoption of the Local Plan Review.

    The deadline for responses is 14 February 2017. Responses must include a postal address, otherwise they cannot be registered. Addresses will only be used to inform people about the new plan and other planning policy matters.
