If you are thinking of installing photovoltaic (PV) panels, do it now. The Government has announced that the feed-in tarrif scheme will close to new installations after 31 March 2019. This includes payments for excess solar energy which is exported to the grid. The only remaining benefit will be in respect of electricity which householders consume themselves. So it's time to get going!
