Next Work Party

The next work party will be on Sunday 2^nd February at Tucking Mill Farm , Zeal Monochorum starting at 10am. We are aiming to finish laying the hedge we started on at the hedge laying course in December and continue the start we made on the hedge on the other side of the track. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU INTEND TO COME. If the weather is bad I will issue an email prior to the session to those people who have let me know they are coming.

For those of you who have not been there it is quite easy to find. Travel to the Waie Inn in Zeal Monochorum. Turn down the lane past the pub which has a sign saying access only to Tucking Mill. Travel down the lane about half a mile , cross the bridge, turn right along a rough track and we park on the left on a concrete standing behind some barns just before you arrive at the farmhouse.

Update on last work party

Seven of us attended the work party on the 20^th January at Tucking Mill farm. We made a start of completing the hedge we worked on at the hedge laying course and also cleared a lot of scrub from the front of the hedge on the opposite side of the track. We also commenced laying that hedge and in the process created a lot more wood which is  available for collection by people owed wood.

There has been talk of a social at a pub during February before the seed swap to discuss how the group is doing and talk about any changes we might want to make. Potential dates are the 8th or 15th February.

We shall be having a stall at the Crediton Seed Share on February 22^nd at the Old Town Hall in Searle St, Crediton form 11am to 2pm. All welcome.

Finally, there is a possibility of a social outing in the spring to a small farm situated above the Taw Valley comprising pasture, woodland, orchard and vineyard. Watch out for more details.
