Many Cooks DO NOT spoil the Broth!

Twenty of us gathered at Park House in Sandford for a relaxing, socialiable and fun Seasonal Supper; a big thanks to our hosts Alison and Paul Shakspeare whose big welcome and lovely home really helped the evening go with a swing!

We spent about an hour and half chopping, chatting and sipping wine as we prepared our meal of spiced cauliflower soup, homity pie, stir fried chicken with seasonal vegetables and noodles, braised red cabbage and beetroot, rhubarb upside down cake with yummy homemade ginger ice cream (made in advance by Ruth Beckley)

Remarkably everything coordinated rather well and we sat down at about 8.30 to a delicious, seasonal, mostly locally produced meal.

It was lovely to meet old friends and make some new ones and was a real bargain at £5 a head.

Most of the vegetables were kindly donated by Linscombe Farm, thanks Phil and Helen!

We are planning other suppers in July, October and December so if you are interested contact Carol.

Hope to see you there!
