Hedgerow Defenders is an organisation which I've not come across before. It is evidently in the process of seeking charitable status, so may be fairly new.

Their website doesn't pull punches. On the other hand, it's hard to argue with what they have to say, given the sorry state of so many hedges locally.

There is a facility to subscribe to news updates from their website, if this floats your boat.
