conservationist Merlin Hanbury-Tenison in conversation with Nick
Bruce-White, CEO Devon Wildlife Trust at 7pm on July 4th at the
Crediton Congregational Church.
Merlin Hanbury-Tenison who founded The Thousand Year Trust,
Britain's rainforest charity will discuss his book Our Oaken Bones:
Reviving a Family, a Farm and Britain's Ancient Rainforests, a
compelling and inspiring story of heartbreak, hope, and healing
trauma by returning to your roots and healing the land
itself. Merlin has developed a model for sustainable and
productive use of upland moorland which protects and increases rare
Atlantic rainforest habitat and he leads the hugely ambitious and
exciting Thousand Year Trust to restore and triple in size the UK's
ancient temperate rainforest.
