The Sustainable Crediton Woodland Management Group swings into
action again later this month. The first few dates are listed under
dates for your diary.
We meet fortnightly from autumn through to spring. We are
working on a long term coppicing project at Moor Farm near Morchard
Bishop. It's a lovely location and volunteering with the group is a
great way to ensure some outdoor action through the darker months
of .the year.
The reward for our efforts is a share of the coppiced timber at
the end of the season, for anyone who wants firewood.
New members of the group are most welcome. No special experience
or skills are needed, just a sensible, grounded approach to working
outdoors with an awareness of safe working requirements, plus a
reasonable level of mobility and physical fitness.
We work at a civilised pace from 10am to round 3pm, with stops
for coffee and packed lunch. If you would like to Come And Try It,
get in touch with me via the link on this page.
