Following a recent meeting the Woodfuel from Hedgerows Group renamed itself the Woodland and Hedgerow Group. The change of name came about after members thought about the principles the group operated by:-

Eco - influencing farmers to look after hedgerows and woodlands, creating sustainable habitats for wildlife

Health - keeping the community fit

Social- having fun together

Skills - keeping hedge laying skills and traditions alive

Learning -about hedges, wood, woodlands, fauna and other wild ways

Planting - trees

Bartering - surplus fruit, veg and other home grown products

Last but not least - taking wood in a sustainable way
