Review of Woodland and Hedgerow Work Party 6/2018
to
Moor Farm, Near Morchard Bishop EX17 6RX
Eddy Kay writes "A beautiful spring day, last outing of the season. Five members of the team to start, two chainsaws seemed sufficient. The wood owner Wendy brought chocolate cakes topped with mini Easter eggs. She thanked us for the work we have undertaken, allowing light in rejuvenating the overstood hazel coppice. We were also invited to a BBQ and walk in May, to see the bluebells. After lunch numbers dropped to three and my chainsaw was brought into action to help crosscut to standard length."
We will continue to coppice in the woods at Moor Farm.
