The recent extreme weather events across Europe, with more confidently forecast, demonstrate that we are now experiencing climate breakdown in real time.

Meanwhile, the government's own Climate Change Committee, chaired by a conservative former secretary of state for the environment, has issued yet another damning report itemising the government's multiple failings in delivering on its promise of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
