An average car spends 94% of its time parked. Car Clubs can result in 15 cars coming off the road for each
shared car. Co-Cars have car clubs in Exeter and Topsham and our plan is to create one here in Crediton as
soon as possible.

Co-Cars offers a commercially maintained way forward to those who are serious about reducing car usage and costs. Exeter has 2 co-cars and Topsham has one. To get sufficient useage for a Crediton, or Sandford, or Copplestone car in the Co-Cars scheme to pay its way, we would need about 40 signed up memberships, each paying, at present rates:£50 returnable deposit £4-5 monthly administration fee Hatchbacks & Estates hourly rate: £3.95 per hour

Day rate: £40 (Continuous 24 hour booking or multiples thereof) Mileage rate (all cars): 23.5p per mile. All car upkeep, booking arrangements, insurance etc dealt with by Co-Cars.
