Trains

The Tarka Line  between Exeter and  Barnstaple is carrying more passengers than ever in its history.  Until the promised longer trains arrive, it's a bit like the London tube in rush hour, but not much worse than the buses.  The car park is free, so it's a good option for those living off the bus routes.

First train to Exeter 0755, followed most hours at 37 past the hour.  Last train from Exeter Central 20.55 Mon-Thurs.

For other rail journeys, see National Rail Enquiries, and The Man in Seat Sixty-One. If you can't get there by train, why not dream of going by freighter?!
