Globechain is a new social network that connects people, charities and businesses to enable them to reuse unwanted items within a global supply chain network.

The mission of Globechain is to connect individuals, organisations and charities to enable them to be more productive and cost effective with respect to reuse.Their site is aimed at addressing the 'reuse' needs of the domestic (that's us individuals) and commercial (that's businesses) markets.

Items are put onto the website and can be reserved by individual members for free.

Organisations and charities can use the site to give and take items, helping them to reduce costs and save unwanted goods going to landfill at the same time as promoting their CSR credentials on their profile page.

Globechain can show communities around the world that you don't need to be an eco-warrior to make a difference. Most of us like to get something for free and if Globechain can link communities together to make that happen whilst making new friends and having fun in the process then why not?!
