Sustainable Crediton Newsletter Issue 108

Welcome to our October newsletter. The month holds the promise of being busy, challenging and maybe uplifting, depending on our individual plans. Locally, our Pollinator Project is making good progress with our first area now planted. The Wood Group will be swinging into action with further coppicing and woodland management work, having recently banked a good supply of sustainable firewood from last winter's efforts.

In the wider world, increasing numbers are taking part in direct action to insist that governments take decisive action on climate change. Politicians respond with encouraging words, but actions lag behind. They need to be held to account based upon what the climate scientists say is necessary, not against their own inadequate targets which they are in any case failing to meet.

Keep going!

Best wishes to all, John Craythorne, Sustainable Crediton newsletter editor
