Sustainable Crediton Newsletter Issue 30

Happy New Year 2013 to all Sustainable Crediton Supporters !

If you had the chance would you change the world? Such a change usually happens gradually, bit by bit, step by step. That is what Sustainable Crediton is all about, making small but positive changes to the way we do all sorts of things.

As ever there are opportunities for change starting right now ! On the 2nd January there will be a leaflet drop at Exeter St Davids Station from 7 to 9am and 6 to 8pm to highlight some of the major problems this country is facing. The new woodfuel from hedgerows group has its kick-off meeting on the 5th January, whilst our Waste Action Group is meeting  Kevin Finan, CEO of Mid Devon District Council on the 7th January to discuss recycling. Our Energy and Food Groups are also meeting to continue actions started last year. You are all welcome to join these groups, just contact the relevant group coordinators for details.

On the 18th January there is a social evening at the Crediton Arts Centre where we will be showing a film about the Transition Movement, of which we are a part. All are welcome to attend, have a drink and watch the movie or to find out more about us. And finally on the 26th January we have another of our waste plastics collections taking place in Peck & Strong's car park, Lords Meadow.
