"Unfortunately, Crediton Area CoHousing (CACH), has been shelved for the time being. There are a few folks still interested, but due to lack of capacity, we are needing to rebuild our membership and focus in future on attracting folks who are able to commit time and energy to practical involvement.

One thing we have learned this past eighteen months, is that developing a long term cohousing project in not an easy or quick process and does require commitment from those involved. However, it does still feel important that we continue to explore this way forward because all the signs are pointing to a need for radical change not only in the way we build our homes and neighbourhoods, but also in the social aspect of sharing and mutual support that cohousing embodies. So, for the Mid Devon area, this is a story in progress and we'll be monitoring other cohousing projects and reporting back from time to time"
