Our first Allotment Sunday went very well. Beautiful weather, a great turnout and a tasty impromptu picnic to coincide with Resurgence's 'Slow Sunday' campaign (baking bread to save the planet). We got a lot of digging done, some leeks and strawberry runners were donated and planted out, an ...

Teddy Bears Picnic

About 70 people came along with a dish to share, and Rosa Rebecka performed an acoustic set, as the electrics in the bandstand were faulty! It was a fine day as the rain held off, and a small group then went up to the allotment to make scarecrows. Many thanks to Anita, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Re ...

Real Nappy Week - Mon 21st - Fri 25th April

We discussed what we could do. Suggestions included visiting local baby groups, breastfeeding groups, ante natal groups etc with a nappy expert to promote reusable nappies. I've also thought we could get some photos of our babies in nappies and see if the local papers would feature them, make a kind of gallery of happy nappy babies! What do you think?

Teddy Bears' Picnic, Sat 24th OR Sat 31st May

To be held in the Park behind Crediton Library 12-2pm. Idea being people (women, men, children) bringing a plate of food to share with everyone. Attempt to make it from local / fresh / organic / fairtrade ingredients. We will need to publicise it early. Anita will recruit people to add a musical element. Kate to enquire about using the bandstand.

New WEN allotment

Caroline will accept Upstream's offer of sharing their plot. We can publicise it at the Teddy Bears' Picnic and sign up more people to get involved. People can visit it in the afternoon after the picnic. If people have spare seedlings of veg this would be great.
